Roman and Canivell| architects

The objectives of the project are:

 

1.- Preservation of the façade in its original state with its decorative motifs, holes, ornaments, fittings, etc.

2.- Recreation on the façade to C/ Cano y Cueto of the existing façade typology on Avda. Menéndez y Pelayo.

3.- Placement of a main central distribution patio in a similar position to the one existing in the old corral, with the same function of distributing through open galleries to the dwellings per floor. For this reason, the placement of the stair core in said patio is proposed to combine the vertical and horizontal routes.

4.- Increase the volume of the building by one floor and thereby achieve homogeneity with the surroundings in terms of heights, configuring the two access corners to C/ Santa María la Blanca. Always preserving the general distribution of openings as well as their shape and decorative motifs (cornices, fittings, etc.)

5.- Use of 20% occupancy in a recessed attic, for use as living rooms in the houses on the lower floor and thus achieve private use in part  of the roof terraces, which entails an improvement in its maintenance and beautification abroad.
