Calatrava 26-28

Dwellings and parkings reform project

26-28 Calatrava street, Seville

The building that we are going to reform is located on an irregular plot, with a façade oriented to Caltrava street. It is a D listed building.

Our proposal comes from the consideration of the architectural and heritage construction values, keeping or reconstructing what we consider relevant, like the façade and the first "crujía" that surround the access areas. _cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Regarding the interior distributions, we propose a new floor that harbors dwellings with the proper dimensions as defined in the current standards, and illuminated and ventilated properly.

We intend to keep all of the elements that we consider characteristic of the typology that it represents, which, despite all of the reforms it has been through, are still relevant and define this style of courtyard houses._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_

Due to technical causes we suggest replacing part of the building, keeping all of the most significant elements in their original use, form and location but improving the construction and ensuring a stronge and effective construction for the aim we propose (residential multi-family building).

An adaptation to the present way of life is needed, but keeping the original building's most significant concepts. We propose a residential building with two bedroom dwellings,  access from the interior distribution gallery and two obvious shared areas.
